SOMMER MAE
CAMPBELL
NYC ACTOR &
DEVISER
ABOUT ME
I was born in suburban New Jersey as a little girl who wanted to be a fairy princess when she grew up, so I naturally became an actor and theatre artist based in New York. I am a recent graduate of Pace University’s International Performance Ensemble program, where I trained in collaborative and devised theatre and became an actor-singer-mover in that order, as well as a playwright and multidisciplinary artist. In my spare time I participate in a lot of art forms: sewing, drawing, fashion design, and vintage collectibles. I led the creative process for the writing and creation of WIFE: a Mitksi jukebox musical in early 2021, and acted as the dramaturg for its live debut in spring of that year. Fall semester last year I was part of the devising team for an adaptation of Jane Yolen’s short story Mama Gone, and this spring I wrote, directed, and acted in the world premiere of She Said She Said: Or, the Fucking Beatles Play. I live in the East Village with 8 Kermit the frogs and too many dolls for a 23 year old woman.
